Hi, I am new and just joining SFS and I am planing on going to a game this Saturday and I'm not quite sure how to reach my goal, I'm split between the Technomancer and the Operative. I like the spell casting ability of the technomancer but I think the operative is a better Overall. I need a lvl 1 character now, but late game I would like the character to be able to teleport short ( possibly long) distances, be able to turn himself invisible, and be able to debuff my foes. Help would be very much appreciated.
Operative with the Ghost selection gives the Cloaking Field very early. Not invisibility, but damn good. In addition, you can get stealth very high very quickly since many skills are dex based. Bear in mind, if you choose Hacker instead of Ghost, you gain in places but lose in others (i.e. Better hacker but harder to turn 'invisible').
You can start with an 18 Dex/16 Int with the right race and archetype selections.
You can debuff with Debilitating Tricks as well as an Operative that help out the team.
However, Technomancer gets good skills for hacking and has some good spells to supplement this. You can get your invisibility and some debuff spells and you can get Comprehend Languages, which lets you reach code, and Identify, which gets passwords.
Both are good, in my opinion. You just need to figure out what you like best and go with it.
