It seems to me that multiple arms should aid in grappling.

Advice

Does number of limbs have any bearing on a monster or PC's ability to grapple? Is there some way to achieve that (via feats/class features or whatever)?

There might be multi-armed Monsters with good GMBs because their creators thought that makes sense. But strictly speaking, having extra arms don't make you a better Grappler.

If you have an Alchemal Tentacle, you get to initiate a grapple as a Free Action after scoring a hit with your Tentacle, and you get a +4 on all your Grapple Checks. So a Tentacle will even if an arm won't.

If you attempt to Grapple and you don't have at least 2 hands free, then you suffer a -4 on your check. If you have extra hands, then it is all the more likely you will have those extra free hands when the time comes. So I guess you can say that having multiple arms gives you resistance to penalties.

Oh yeah. That counts, cheers.

I think a feat with 4 arms prerequisite improving your grapple wouldnt be out of balance. I just wondered if there was some official way it was modelled.

Thanks.

Skittermanders have 6 arms, and gain a +2 racial bonus on grapple combat maneuvers.

As I have said on multiple occasions, Skittermanders are the objectively best huggers in the galaxy.

"You must have at least one hand free to perform a grapple combat maneuver."

If you have more than two arms, it is more likely that you have a free hand to grapple with. That is the only multi-armed grappling bonus that I have been able to find.
