Where does urog gear go

So I'm hoping to play an Urog once I switch off being a DM. I wonder how you guys would flavor it's gear and where it goes when they're folded. Does it get stashed alongside it's limbs near the food? Attached to a harness on its armor?

I imagine it stays tucked under it's snail-shell-like "shell-scales" with its limbs. Likely held onto their core bodies by versatile straps and gear clamps.

I could see having an NPC urog accidentally eat things with that. Keep it minor so that the PC's are slightly annoyed but don't lose anything valuable.

I imagine that's about as likely as a human woman accidentally eating her lipstick while trying to apply it. :P

I'm sure they have lots of control over what they absorb and what they don't; in fact, the text specifically says as much.
