According to the description of weapon fusions, they can be added to ammunition for half the cost of a normal weapon of that level. According to the weapons chart, battery packs count as ammunition. Does this mean you can get cheap, easily interchangeable battery packs with specialized weapon fusions?

Can you then recharge those battery packs using the normal rules for charging batteries?


No. A "piece" of ammunition is a single shot of ammunition. That's not what a battery is.


My first thought is "yes." My second thought is that you're still going to face that 20% chance of destroying them, so it's not cost effective. My third thought is that depending on what "a weapon's power cell" is supposed to mean, the Technomancer hack Charging Jolt might recharge without a risk of destruction.
