Hey all, I tried to find info on the LaShunta in Starfinder but I can't. Found a thread where the devs said it will probably be different from the one in Pathfinder. Wondering if anyone has seen info or are we still waiting on the preview?

Haven't heard anyone call it a LaShunta before, but there was an overview of castrovel (the home planet of the lashunta) with some information on the lashunta as well. You can read it here.

Sorry did I spell it wrong? I don't think the link you provided said whether the lashunta in Starfinder will the be the same from Pathfinder.

It's more the emphasis (I think it's usually just Lashunta, no second capital)

As for how they're different, the main difference from what I've been able to parse is that what used to be a gender dichotomy is now a caste dichotomy, and the race is getting away from "X Gender is Y Caste" to a "Everyone gets to choose their Caste." Some people are less than enthused about it not being a biological thing anymore, personally I'm all for the available variety.

I am more on the side of choice. If that's it that is awesome.

The first bit of info on the changes to the Lashunta came from a preview on another website here.

One of the developers also went into detail about the in-universe explanation of the Lashunta's change here, if you're interested.

Well from reading these previews it sounds like they are keeping the bonus to attributes but you get to choose and it's not dependate on gender.

Yep, I believe that's the plan. Definitely a welcome change, in my opinion.
