How much can I sell a crafted item for

Advice

Let's say I have craft wonderous item and I craft up a belt of giant strength (+4) the cost of production is 8000 gold. How much could I sell it for? Would it be 50% of the original price (buying from a vendor) so 8000 gold. Or would it be 50% of the price that I crafted it at, so 4000 gold?

50% of the original price assuming you don't use diplomacy to try and get a better deal

Since you are an adventurer and not a merchant, you sell for half the price you would buy one for. By a remarkable coincidence, this is the same as the amount it cost you to make it. So you can't make a profit crafting magic items unless your GM is using Pathfinder Unchained's Downtime rules (which let you be a bit of a merchant) or something.

Hedge Magician trait reduces cost by 5%

most dms allow you to sell for more if you get a good enough diplomacy roll

You can also try the Bargaining rules from Ultimate Campaign
