Wondering what to play?

I am wondering what to play for the new dungeon my party are playing
We already have a wizard, cleric, barbarian and fighter


Is it core only or did y'all just feel very nostalgic?


Core, APG, ACG, ARG (only one advanced)
For example if you played an arcanist you would not be allowed to be a ARG race


oooo I'd go alchemist, they're fun.

Give your fighter and barb some handy infusions and throw bombs at s*#%.

Hobgoblins, Goblins, Halflings, Gnomes (sort of they have a nice FCB but bad stats), Technically Elves but its never really appealed to me to make one.

they're a fairly sad class if you go the buffer bomber route, you want about 16 Dex, decent con and wis for saves (12-14) and good intelligence for DCs and bomb damage and extra bomds and extracts (16-18). Str and Cha are both sort of dumpy.

Goblin looks interesting take favoured class 5/6 times to be immune to your own bombs splash
EDIT: They thematically fit too.


I think there is an archetype from a book you don't be have so you'd have to talk to the GM that allows you to make constructs.

I've had the image of a goblin on a throne with 4 legs that carries him around whilst he chucks bombs at things proclaiming himself the goblin king atop his goblin throne.


Could get the wizard to build it at higher levels

Earlier you said that it was a sad class if you go the bomber buffer route. So why do you keep recommending it?
And what route do you recommend playing a alchemist?


Sad as in SAD as in single ability score dependant

With your party having 2 strong damage dealers hand out buffing infusions to the fighter and the barb and throw bombs for ranged damage and later cc

You will want to pick up PBS, precise shot, and precise bomb fairly quickly
Those look like okay stats to me :) I like some CHA but that's just me


I'll pick up precise bombs at second level
And I'll change the feat to PBS
And pick up precise shot at 3rd level
Taking infusion at 4th


At 4th he should look something like
18 int
16 DEX
14 wis
14 Con
5 Cha
8 STR
After racial
Alchemist discoveries
Infusion
Precise bomb
Feat
PBS
PS
AC 16 (+3 DEX +2 armour +1 size)
8 bombs/day 2d6 damage
