The problem I find when trying to go full MoMS is that most of the style feats at our disposal are varied enough that there's not much of a way to take advantage of having a bunch active at once in order to specialize, which Pathfinder rewards (as opposed to being a generalist, which Pathfinder tends to punish). It can however still be quite good for dipping. A grapple-focused character, for example, would greatly benefit from having two at least two-levels in MoMS for Snapping Turtle Style and Grabbing Style (maybe Kraken style if you feel like it).

Something you need to be careful about when looking for advice is the date, oftentimes Paizo will change things after they published them. This can result in a few years of advice suddenly becoming irrelevant.
For instance, the former MoMS could take Style chain feats for free. This allowed your, say, Fighter or Slayer to cheat out an incredibly expensive feat (pre-requisite wise) from the very beginning of the game.
Now the MoMS only allows you to select the first feat in any given line. More importantly, at 8th level the MoMS gains +1 to hit for every style he is in now. That scales up to +5 at level 20, which nearly makes the MoMS a full BAB character.
Now, what styles you pick ends up on what you want to do. For instance, a retaliation Monk might take Snake, Panther, and Linnorm style. A grapple monk might go for Snapping Turtle, Kracken, Stag, and Grabbing Style. A tank Monk might go Crane and Archon style.
Etc etc
My personal MoMS usually ends up as a Monk of the Four Winds and being an Ascetic Style monk and one of the Elemental Fist paths. I prefer Shaitan style, then you get to make full attacks with a weapon in the form of an Acid Infused blade. Especially nice since the Monk lacks flurry, so it pairs well with a Nine-Ring Broadsword, for instance.
Once you hit level 9, you gain Shaitan Skin which means folks need to save or be staggered against your acid damage. Level 11 allows you to regain Stunning Fist or Punishing Kick while 13 allows you to gain the other.
Throw in other styles as required.

Without flurry of blows you don't get full BAB and of course you lack the TWF-like effect. From 8th level you get a patch which gives you an attack bonus similar to full BAB though without gaining additional attacks at 11 or 16. Unlike real full BAB characters you don't have an attack bonus on top of that (as with other monks).
If you're going for those two styles (& one more by 8th) then your first few feats will probably be Snake Style, Panther Style, Combat Reflexes, Panther Claw, Panther Parry. The Panther Style line doesn't have BAB or skill prereqs and if PFS GMs normally take all the AoOs they can it won't stop being good. Spending one more feat on (say) Dragon Style and keeping the 6th level bonus feat as a wildcard slot leaves you zero or one more feats before 8th, depending on whether you're human or not.
Since your combat style requires provoking AoOs from movement you aren't going to want a race which slows you and might want to look at magic items which can speed you up - even if that's just potions of expeditious retreat. Since you'll probably be strength based, enlarge person to ensure you can reach enemies to be able to take those retaliatory unarmed strikes might also be a useful buff.
