Is there a limit to the number of Mythic Power (Su) the character can spend in a single round? Is this specified somewhere, or can the character spend as many points as he can, as long as their expenditure do not require multiple types of the same actions (like 2x Swift actions)
Example:
I use a Surprise Strike (spend 1 MP) against an opponent. This attacks misses and I decide to add a Surge (spend another MP): Can I do this in the same round?
Thanks for the clarification - please add references if available!

I'm pretty sure the only restrictions are in the total amount of Mythic Power you have, the type of action the expenditure requires, and any restrictions that are specifically called out in the power.
So you can use surprise strike (swift action) then surge (immediate action) but then you will not have a swift action for the next turn so you can't do this every turn.

Actually, using an immediate action during your turn consumes your swift action, so you cannot combine Surprise Strike and Surge on your turn. But you could use Surge as you describe on another person's turn, consuming the swift action for your following turn.

So if I understand correctly:
* If you use a Swift action during your turn, you cannot also use an immediate action in the same turn.
* If you use an immediate action during your turn, you cannot also use a swift action in the same turn.
* If you use an immediate action outside of your turn, you will NOT have access to a swift/immediate action in your *next* turn. In other words, you 'borrowed' that action to use it now (reminds me of the Overload ability of the Hearthstone Shaman... borrowing mana that will not be available on the next turn).
So is this correct?
Did I misunderstand the rules?
THANKS!

You are correct on all counts.
