I just made Mythic in a home campaign and chose Dual Path for my feat. The two paths I chose was Trickster and Genius (out of Legendary Games Mythic Hero’s Handbook-GM is allowing these books).
After we left the session, a friend of mine brought up a question. But if I want to for example take Fickle Attack which is a 3rd tier path ability under the Trickster, do I need 3 tiers of Trickster, or is it just 3 mythic tiers of combined paths? In this example, Genius and Trickster?
It does say on the headline “3rd Tier Trickster Path Abilities”. But I would figure it would make it extremely difficult to take the higher path abilities from either path you choose.

Yep. When you have your moment of ascension you choose your mythic path (let's say Trickster). Once you've applied basically everything from being a Trickster you could choose to take a Dual Path as your mythic feat, and you take Genius, so you pick up one tier 1 Genius ability, and from that moment on you can select from both the Trickster and Genius (and Universal) path abilities. But you are not actually a Genius, and don't gain the bonus HP from that path, nor the tier 10 power.
Interestingly, the format of Dual Path means you can pick it up later than Tier 1, which makes this process even more obvious - see how it works when you pick up the feat as a tier 3 Trickster.

Ok, makes sense.
I had decided to go with Genius at the moment of ascension and went with Trickster when choosing Dual Path. The bonus HP is the same between both paths (+3 HP). The 10th tier abilities, neither are glaringly obvious for my class, but Supragenius is going to be more beneficial.
My main class going up will be Alchemist. I did start my character with two levels of Rogue. Right now I’m 2 Rogue/4 Alchemist.
Thanks to all for your replies.
