I had an idea for a character that was based on Calvin and Hobbes. My initial thought was a Magus but I am not married to the class as much as I am to the idea of a character who carries a stuffed animal that he talks to. I talked to my GM and he suggested I ask on here. I am very new to RPG's and I just need some ideas on how to achieve this mechanically and maybe what classes or archetypes might make this more interesting.
My original idea was simply, the character would throw the stuffed animal down or move with magic somehow into a flanking position and the magus would get a free flanking. So my criteria are a 7th level character, no gunslingers or summoners allowed per GM. we are playing Giantslayer and I don't like min/maxing so at least 2 points in everything and needs to be Elf or Half Elf. I like the magus. my GM said maybe add some rogue levels but then we were talking about how awesome it would be if at a later point in time the stuffed animal came to life or how would I make it "threaten" so I could get flanking. So he mentioned some ways from 3.5 but he wasn't sure how to do it in pathfinder.
so any ideas would be appreciated. If they're in any word source books can you let me know because I'm using hero lab and will probably need to buy modules.

What you just described is literally a summoner, so... yeah.
Next best thing I can think of might be an Eldritch Guardian. It's a fighter archetype that makes use of a familiar and shares their feats with it. You could go pure EG, or you could take one level of Beast-Bonded witch; your BAB will suffer a bit, but you'll be able to grant feats to your familiar and you'll get some cantrips to play with and makes replacing your familiar if it gets killed quicker and cheaper. Take a cat with the Mauler archetype and flavor it as your stuffed tiger buddy.
For reference, the Beast-bonded witch is in Ultimate Magic, and the Eldritch Guardian fighter and Mauler familiar are in the Pathfinder Player Companion: Familiar Folio.
