Mixed attacks with Fast Bombs

Rules Questions

If I have a thrown weapon in hand at the beginning of my turn (in this case it also has the returning property). Can I make a full attack action with the first attack to throw the weapon and the remainder as bomb attacks? I'm curious mostly because this particular weapon is great fun to throw, but not powerful at all. From a more pragmatic perspective it is a way to up my damage a little bit while helping conserve bombs.
Given the FAQ says TWF as a feat works which would potentially be fighting with 2 different weapons at once I can't construct a good argument why it won't, but figured I'd see some discussion

No. Fast Bombs is a separate full round action that lets you throw bombs for all of your attacks (and functions as a full attack action).

So from the PRD "This functions just like a full-attack with a ranged weapon" if I had 2 different thrown weapons in hand I could throw both so I'm not seeing the distinction between it just being a normal full attack. The other cases (flurry, spell combat and strike) all have particular language that adds any neede qualifiers to make a distinction between a full round action that is a full attack and one that has special restrictions.

Fast Bombs is it's own full round action.

The alchemist can prepare and throw additional bombs as a full-round action if his base attack bonus is high enough to grant him additional attacks.

The problem with limiting the rule to citing only the first sentence is that it contradicts the FAQ which clearly states that feats can modify Fast Bombs. But from the text of Rapid Shot
"When making a full-attack action with a ranged weapon, you can fire one additional time this round at your highest bonus."

Keep in mind I talking about swapping a ranged touch attack that does 5d6+13 damage plus the 18 splash damage for a 1d6+4 against normal AC.

The problem that you run into is that the action to throw a bomb isn't an attack action normally, it is a standard action. This does not allow you to two weapon fight with a bomb and an alchemical weapon any more than a wizard could cast a spell and throw an alchemical weapon.

The fast bomb discovery gives a special exemption to this normal bomb rule allowing you to throw more bombs as if you were doing a full attack with a ranged weapon.

I can somewhat see how you could choose to interpret that as long as you have the fast bomb discovery, and either quick draw, or started the turn with an alchemical weapon in hand that you could substitute one of your bomb attacks with the alchemical weapon (and if you had rapid shot or two weapon fighting then this increases your attacks as well) but that still relies on having the fast bomb discovery, and an GM who is lenient with rules interpretations since fast bombs says it is "like a full attack" not that you can make a full attack using bombs as weapons

Davor Firetusk, you can still use feats to modify Fast Bombs.

Fast Bombs is it's own full-round action that you can then modify via anything that modifies full-attack actions.

Ie: you can use Rapid Shot to give you an extra bomb attack. You can use Haste to give you an extra bomb attack.
BUT, you cannot mix Fast Bombs with other non-bomb attacks.

This is for the same exact reason Flurry of Blows not being able to mix up FoB and natural attacks. It is it's own form of full-attack.
