Constrictor snake - how do you put barding on them?
Ank stun is fine, sure, but I often found to hit a problem, besides the DC isn't very high and most monsters have a high fort, so more often then not, even if you hit, it doesn't land.
You don't, you use mage armour until level 7 when you trade it out for a better companion. Between level 4 and 7 however it is a beast as it hits hard with good accuracy with grab and constrict.
The anylosaurus is looking at around a DC20 daze at level 7 for a hunter who boosts its strength which is more than enough to give a lot of opponents a good chance to be affected at that level. Give it combat reflexes and you are also likely to get a lot more chances to use it.

Warcat is the best animal companion. Banned in pathfinder society for that reason. If that's not allowed then the tiger is always a strong fallback.
I would recommend Sacred Huntsmaster archetype over Hunter, trades out Judgements for animal companion and hunter aspects, very strong archetype. The buff spells from Inquisitor are better for you the player.
For feats there is a teamwork feat that when you cast a buff on yourself it will affect both you and your animal companion. Take fates favored as a trait and have your animal companion take extra traits so they can have it as well. Divine favor on both you and your animal companion will be very nasty.
Outflank is an amazing teamwork feat, recommend these as your first 2 bonus teamwork feats.
Want to get Barding for your animal companion, with an Inquisitor you can later cast magic vestment on it. [/QUOT
Wow. Exactly what I did. Good advice
