There's a lot of backlog here. . . I. . . don't know what any sort of rules, regulations, restrictions, etc. go on for this. I just. . . a friend of mine pointed me towards some of your hybridized classes, and we were talking about a strength-based unarmed class archetype.

PathFinder still scratches a particular itch for me, especially with the Elephant in the Room ruleset, but I still feel like there's room for improvement and some things that are just missing.

I can't speak for balance, but I did come up with this real fast! It seemed to just make sense to me. I based its formatting on some of y'all's hybrid classes I looked at, though I don't know how to do the leveling table.

I only checked the PFC site, but I didn't see a Brawler/Barbarian hybrid.

Raging Pugilist (Brawler/Barbarian)

(Original concept by TimberWolfBrother)

Primary Class: Brawler
Secondary Class: Barbarian
Alignment: Any
Hit Dice: d10

Bonus Skill and Ranks: The Raging Pugilist may select three barbarian skills to add to his class skills in addition to the normal monk class skills. The furious fist gains a number of ranks at each level equal to 4 + Int modifier.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: The Raging Pugilist gains no additional proficiencies.

Rage: A Raging Pugilist can call upon inner reserves of strength and ferocity, granting her additional combat prowess. Starting at 1st level, a Raging Pugilist can rage for a number of rounds per day equal to 4 + her Constitution modifier. At each level after 1st, she can rage for 2 additional rounds. Temporary increases to Constitution, such as those gained from rage and spells like bear’s endurance, do not increase the total number of rounds that a Raging Pugilist can rage per day. A Raging Pugilist can enter rage as a free action. The total number of rounds of rage per day is renewed after resting for 8 hours, although these hours do not need to be consecutive.

While in rage, a Raging Pugilist gains a +4 morale bonus to her Strength and Constitution, as well as a +2 morale bonus on Will saves. In addition, she takes a –2 penalty to Armor Class. The increase to Constitution grants the Raging Pugilist 2 hit points per Hit Dice, but these disappear when the rage ends and are not lost first like temporary hit points. While in rage, a Raging Pugilist cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except Acrobatics, Fly, Intimidate, and Ride) or any ability that requires patience or concentration.

A Raging Pugilist can end her rage as a free action and is fatigued after rage for a number of rounds equal to 2 times the number of rounds spent in the rage. A Raging Pugilist cannot enter a new rage while fatigued or exhausted but can otherwise enter rage multiple times during a single encounter or combat. If a Raging Pugilist falls unconscious, her rage immediately ends, placing her in peril of death.

At 11th level, when a Raging Pugilist enters rage, the morale bonus to her Strength and Constitution increases to +6 and the morale bonus on her Will saves increases to +3.

Starting at 17th level, a Raging Pugilist no longer becomes fatigued at the end of her rage.

At 20th level, when a Raging Pugilist enters rage, the morale bonus to her Strength and Constitution increases to +8 and the morale bonus on her Will saves increases to +4.This ability replaces Martial Flexibility,

Rage Power: Starting at 2nd level a Raging Pugilist gains the barbarian’s rage power ability and may select a rage power that he qualifies for. At 5th level and every three levels thereafter, a Raging Pugilist may select an additional rage power. A Raging Pugilist uses his Raging Pugilist level as his barbarian level for the purpose of qualifying for rage powers. A rage power takes effect only while a Raging Pugilist is using his Rage. This ability replaces the bonus feats gained at 2nd, 5th, 8th, 11,th, 14,th, 17th, and 20th level.

Damage Reduction: At 4th level a Raging Pugilist gains damage reduction. Subtract 1 from the damage the Raging Pugilist takes each time she is dealt damage from a weapon or a natural attack. At 9th level, 13th, and 18th this damage reduction rises by 1 point. Damage reduction can reduce damage to 0 but not below 0. This replaces the Brawler's AC Bonus.

I'd be interested in seeing this renewed, though with PF2 out it may no longer have enough interest.

Re-necro here...

So I was clued in by one of our players that the PF Community site is now down, as in Google sites says it no longer exists. If there is anyone who was part of this project, in particular the Multiclass Archetypes, and has any word on the status of it coming back, I'd like to know. Seeing as Elghinn's last forum post was in 2018, if he was responsible for upkeep of the site I'm not optomistic for its return.

I know some folk have moved on to PF2e, but there's plenty of us who refuse to migrate, and if the content from PF community needs a new home, I have lots of web space that isn't going anywhere since it hosts a half dozen client sites.

I've considered actually combing through the MCA writeups and doing a revision edit to clean up formatting and errors between tables and text, minor rebalances, etc., but if I were to make it public, I don't want to deny credit where credit is due, and at least some modicum of permission unless this project is finally abandonware.
