Tian Xia Weapon Question

On the back of the Dragon Empire Primer the art shows the character holding a Qinglong Ji- (took me forever to find what it really was)

Spear with the crescent blade. I am curious, how would you do the stats on this sucker? I am the DM, so it is my call, but I want it balanced so I figured I would see what people thought.

I would probably just take it as the glaive-guisarme. Sounds like it performs the same role.

:sniffs at the talking squirrel and pounces:

Yeah, that's probably what I will do.

Scarab Sages

I go with halberd personally, but it really doesn't matter.

The monk's spade is somewhat akin to this ancient pole arm, but I guess me personally, I would call that a 1d8 damage two handed reach weapon 19-20x2 crit and the trip weapon quality, but thats just me.

I would look at all the stats for all the polearm weapons in the game and find which one you think is appropriate.

Most weapons that aren't already represented in game can really just be represented by taking a piece of masking tape writing the name of the weapon you want and pasting it over some other weapon's name.

No reason to invent new weapons, and honestly I'd much prefer if the actually removed a lot of the weapon and just gave generic groupings of mechanics like:

Generic 1 handed martial sword #1 1d8 19-20x2 (S)
Generic 1 handed martial sword #2 1d6 18-20x2 (P)
Generic 1 handed martial sword #3 1d6 18-20x2 (S)

And let people describe it looking like whatever they want. People get far too caught up in the name of weapon and think it has to look a certain way because of the name.
