So, Larson confirmed via her Twitter that principle filming is complete for Captain Marvel. Nothing surprising, just a photo of a signed clapboard and a calendar with some doodling... wait, is that a doodle of her cat Chewie in the trailing space saucer?

So Monica's mom (who is stated to be a single mother) is in this. Given this is set in the 90's, that should put Maria Rambeau's daughter at JUST the right age to join the current day MCU :)

Yes, I have been completely hooked by this photo teaser for a teaser trailer which will tease an eventual official trailer leading up to the actual movie.
Maybe THIS movie won't utterly squander Lee Pace as Ronan!

But yes, I am LOVING all I see of this fine visual offering thus far.

EDIT: Okay, maybe I should try to say something of substance.
The costume is GREAT. I think one of the best comics-to-screen costumes I've seen, though Marvel generally does well with this. It is recognizably Captain Marvel while suitable for actual movement and filming.
Monica Rambeau's mom--very cool, and love that indicates we'll meet Monica herself in the present day.
Guardians did great comedic space opera but I am looking forward to this more drama-actiony space stuff.
I like that Carol as a NIN t-shirt.

I noticed that too. Monica's Maria's callsign is on her jet. I just assumed they hadn't post-production CGI'ed it onto the jet yet. Maybe she's in a borrowed plane?
I was excited to see a promo picture showing what they said were some Skrulls. I look forward to seeing them brought into the MCU finally.
Plus, Jude Law as Mar-Vell. That's gonna kick ass.
I went back through the original press releases up to the current ones, and Marvel never actually name Law's character just that he's the male co-lead/co-star with Larson. We the fans and the press all assumed he'd be playing Mar-Vell, and Marvel has done nothing to deny that, but they haven't confirmed it. So maybe Law isn't Mar-Vell... maybe he's actually
Or maybe I shouldn't read every bit of fan speculation about this movie?

IMDB isn't always 100% accurate this far before release. Not saying it's wrong, but it's updated with the best public information available, and could either be incorrect because someone misinterpreted something, or because the studio purposefully put out misleading information.

Looks like they're working in the amnesia bit in a way that doesn't get overcomplicated.

Carol Danvers is one of those characters I've only been peripherally aware of (mostly from her X-Men association), but I've got to admit this movie has me excited.
The trailer kind of gave me a Winter Soldier vibe, but IN SPAAAACCCCEEE!!!! I think it'll be another big hit for Marvel.
Bring on the Skrulls!!! How else do you get to punch little old ladies in the face?!?

Also, since the Skrulls are now part of the MCU, does that mean we will be seeing references to the FF, as they were first defeated by them in FF# 2 way back in 1962.
I just want some Super Skrulls, Galactus, Kang and Silver Surfer. :p :)

I doubt we'll see much more than hints of the FF for awhile, since all this has been planned for years and shoehorning them into the Infinity War plot at this stage would likely be awkward.
It would be cool if they could retcon them in as the first Super-heroes, missing for years. Kind of like they're doing with Captain Marvel. Off in space or chasing through other dimensions or some such. The FF really shouldn't be newbies. And cosmic explorers is their best role, so it would be great to see some of that.
IIRC, until everything is COMPLETELY wrapped up, Disney and Fox have to continuing operating as distinct entities, so I don't think 2019 will see much in the way of Fox owned entities showing up on in the MCU.
