pick your brain?

Benefit: You do not suffer any penalties on attack rolls made with a shield while you are wielding another weapon.

Place a shield spike, on one of the two shields, dos this now qualify as no penalties for either hand as both are shields but one shield has become a weapon due to shield spikes?

2nd question
Mad Rush (Ex): Whenever the vigilante charges, he can make a full attack.

so I'm at -5 HP
and I decide since I only have a move or std action, I decide to charge.

Charge
If you are able to take only a standard action on your turn, you can still charge, but you are only allowed to move up to your speed (instead of up to double your speed) and you cannot draw a weapon unless you possess the Quick Draw feat. You can't use this option unless you are restricted to taking only a standard action on your turn.

Mad Rush (Ex): Whenever the vigilante charges, he can make a full attack.

does he still get to full attack or does the charge rule itself override it.

Thoughts?

shield master has no clarification on what it applies to. all penalties, only 2wf penalties, both shields or only one shield? There's no consensus so ask your GM. In PFS make weak assumptions or be ready to not be able to play your guy with some GMs.

I think he can make the full attack on the charge, since it says he can.

The way mad rush and charge are worded it seems that would work, but I'm unsure if there are other factors.

I briefly toyed with making a double shield user, until you consider that the shield bonuses to AC don't stack, so you might as well use a weapon with better damage or other special properties, depending on how you want to build.

A - not for pfs or a game per se, just want your honest thoughts.

B - im lucky if i play PFS at cons anymore, i dont do PFS in person otherwise.

C - i will ask my GM/DM at the time i use it til then just looking for a general consensus

not looking for stacking of shields, just the questions asked

however as for the shields bonus to dmg or dmg output not the idea behind the build.
its the visual look of the character. Somethings are about roleplay, even though everything is about ruleplay.

Sovereign Court

in the rubianna build it is just the one shield, comboed with Dragon Style and Dragon Ferocity

so that build really isnt in question perse. but thoughts on that build are welcome

Scarab Sages

All light and heavy shields are also weapons, no shield spikes needed.

If you can full attack on a charge, you can full attack on a standard action charge, as per this FAQ

It wasn't clear to me what your intention was, sorry about that. I've seen posts like this before and the intent is usually to stack AC, my fault for assuming.

its okay its a common assumption, I am a DM myself and i agree that rules as intended mad rush should probably not work that way.

Rules as written i agree fully with the FAQ.

despite that as a player every DM rules it differently and im fully accepting of what my DM decides to do.

but if you see my questions in the forums im not asking as a player or DM. im just asking the questions i ask.

i mean id love to use two Tower shields personally but its not effective. although as a side note Mobile Fortress shield style is amazing, it wouldnt work too well with this combo.

nope its just me seeing how two shields would work together as weapons with two weapon fighting and shield master.

would one be the weapon and the other be the shield, and they neither have penalties or would one have 2 wpn penalties and the other not.

as for the Mad Rush/ charge bit.

i have a Vigilante build i came up with. ill put it fully in the next post.

Sovereign Court

this character is about the son of an armor smith who was always kinda girly but with the mixed upbringing he followed his fathers foot steps but wanted to be a grey maiden, despite the horrible light they have come under. So he has made disguises for plate pieces, like the brushes are curved and are on metal brooms so he can disguise himself as an andoran gold legionnaire, or the metal feather duster with the red plumage can become a grey maidens helmet top, exchange face plates, from a cup with a grey maidens face on it. or the armor stand with the female accents detaches their and bolts on to his own armor to alter his gender. the double sided curtain on the wall, one side is red, the other is maybe black or other color. but his disguise kit is basically disguised by his shop.

he saves people as a grey maiden from other grey maidens. so they are emboldened and hated at the same time.
