Verdant Bloodline Arcana + some advice

Hello!

Just two quick questions :)

Verdant Bloodline arcana activates with personal range spells, does that mean only in case of spells with "you" as target, such as "Shield", or also in case of touch range spells cast on yourself, such as "Mage Armor"?

I am running a campaign in a tropical rainforest-like setting.
The villain is an evil verdant sorceress acting as a false druid, I want to make her bodyguards be some sort of primitive warriors (think of Zulu Impis or Mayan Holcan)... basically with shields and spears but no armor.

Are there any particular fighter archetypes or feats that suit that kind of build? (Shield and no armor). I can't seem to find one.

-1 I don't know. as GM, figure out what is most reasonable.

-2 Phalanx soldier does spear and shield, but you could also use barbarians.

1. It means spells that list a range of personal (which should therefore have a listed target of "you"). Mage Armor has a listed range of touch, so the bloodline arcana does not apply.

Put simply, when figuring out if this ability applies ignore every detail of the spell other than range. Unless the range is listed as "personal" the ability does not apply. You don't need to consider the listed target(s), and there is no ambiguity requiring GM fiat unless you want to house-rule wider application of the ability.
