Valid list of PFS scenarios and quests.

GM Discussion

Hello,

I am new as PFS GM. I am looking for quests or sceneries to start my duty as GM. I was thinking in Phantom Phenomena.

First, welcome to PFS GM'ing! Good to see the hobby growing.

Second, I would highly recommend one of the evergreen scenarios, such as The Confirmation, or The Wounded Wisp. They're intentionally meant to be "introductory scenarios" for new players, and double as a good place to start for new GMs.

I wish you the best of luck in your GMing, and most importantly, have fun!

Thank you, birgrig107. I don't wanna GM The Wounded Wisp because I am already playing it. But, I will check The Confirmation.

Phantom Phenomena is an evergreen as well. I really, really enjoy that one. It has great flavor, fun encounters and Professor Qlororum is a hoot. However, I'm guessing from your response that you are thinking of GMing in Play by Post. Is this correct?

I think that the pregen requirement in Play by Post makes it less attractive to players, and thus harder to recruit them. Still, I've found them to be a fun and valid set of quests to play through.

Hmm

I use the PFS Sessiontracker to find scenarios and modules to run with the added benefit of being able to record the scenarios you've done for easy reference.

I am reading it and it is so fun. Yes, you are correct. I am thinking to GM this by PBP, because there are not tables for PFS where I live, and, I wanna try it in PBP before to try it in another online way.

Thanks, I will check this website.

Thanks for listing Phantom Phenomena as an evergreen: I dont believe I have played it yet. So, perhaps I should be running this soon!

Don't forget, though, Phantom Phenomena isn't a PFS scenario, it is a series of Pathfinder Quests that happen to have a PFS chronicle associated with them, with the rewards depending on how many and which of the quests you complete. You are required to use the iconic pregens, then apply the credit to a level 1 PFS character. They also do not have an explicit tie to PFS (no venture-captain briefing, for example), and the characters "reset" between each one (full hp, spells, and gear).

Other than that, they are a fun starting point for pathfinder.
