Hitting a couple balls

Advice

so not sure if this should be in the rules column, but if so just let me know...

I am thinking of creating a baseball player inspired character, going for a creation wizard to get a couple free baseballs a day, And using a club as a sort of improvised sling for when i need that ranged attack. All though i might just go fighter for extra feats (deflect arrows, snatch arrows, etc.)

Possible Rules Question: There is a slim chance I would want to take a similar character to PFS... is using an improvised sling even rules legal?

Advice Question: Are there any other options that might make this better? As a GM would you prefer instead to just re-flavor a Throw Anything?

Why not just be halfling fighter who specializes in using the slingstaff?

odd, for some reason that's not in ultimate equipment... but that is pretty much perfect, and can easily flavor that. only con is being a halfling (not really the direction i wanted), or take a feat...

So you're wanting to make it into the big leagues then?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Too bad I can't be a pro without stat boosting items...

Alternatively, you could gain proficiency with an alternate racial trait - ancestral arms for a half-elf, adoptive parentage or military tradition for a human.

Well you want to be a Halfling so you can have the Warslinger Racial Trait and then apply it to your slingstaff using Slipslinger Style.

I think that falls under called shot to the vitals.
... wait, wrong balls. Nevermind >.>
