Yessss, even better. I throw a wad of chain rings in the form of a human hand at an object 30 feet away, deal d3+ Str dmg, ignore 19 pts of DR and bypass DR/Adamantium.

Yessss.

Not quite! Ranged attacks deal half damage to objects, so it would do, at most, (d3+Str)/2

Plus, it really sounds like your complaint is that a handful of rings can do damage to an object at all, regardless of what they're made of.

Good news! There's a rule for that:

"Ineffective Weapons: Certain weapons just can't effectively deal damage to certain objects. For example, a bludgeoning weapon cannot be used to damage a rope. Likewise, most melee weapons have little effect on stone walls and doors, unless they are designed for breaking up stone, such as a pick or hammer."
