Essentially conning them into getting busted by the dotarii rather than taking them down in a fight?
Just been idly wondering if someone could get into their ranks posing as a well-connected fence or the like, stir up a bit of havoc in their ranks and then drop them right into a dotarii trap while making it look like the Bastards had just gotten too greedy.

Well...my group didn't. But that sounds awesome. If the players head in that direction, I'd say go for it. It'd take some extra GMing work, but I think it'd be really neat.
Are you GMing or playing?
If you have players up to this level of cool, they are ready for this campaign.
They'd do even better in Hell's Rebels.

Neither. I've been a player in a CoT game that got up to us assaulting their base and just got wondering about this as a thought exercise after going on a Burn Notice and Leverage binge.
That and the character I had in that CoT game had some friends who were basically Pathfinder'd versions of the crew from Hustle.
EDIT: Biggest hurdle I can see is how often the GM would want the grifter to make Bluff checks, because the way the cons in Hustle tend to go, that'd be a lot of dice.

I have a single player (a bard) knocking on the door of their lair right now...
So she's either gonna die, or convince them that she's delivering some of the blood and alchemical fluids that the Bastards are using to create Hell Dogs.
She previously spotted Ophal selling some of this stuff to one of the Bastards. So the bluff may just work...
