Thinking about buying ACG, but have some questions so I know what I will need:
1. Will an adventure path ACG box, say, Skull & Shackles, contain everything necessary for 4 people to play? Or must I add additional decks, or items?
2. Are class decks useable in any of the ACG games? As-is? Or mixed in?
3. Would a ROTR deck be useable in a S&S game? Or are they AP-specific?
4. I have all the cards from the Iconic Heroes mini sets. Can they be used by any player in any game?
Thanks, everyone!

1. To get the full Skull and Shackles experience for four players, you need to buy the following:
-Skull and Shackles Base Set (contains Adventure Deck 1)
-Skull and Shackles Adventure Deck 2
-Skull and Shackles Adventure Deck 3
-Skull and Shackles Adventure Deck 4
-Skull and Shackles Adventure Deck 5
-Skull and Shackles Adventure Deck 6
You can optionally buy the Skull and Shackles Character Add-on Deck. This enables you to play with 6 characters at a time and also gives you move character choices.
2. Yes. You mix them in with the adventure path cards by deck number (if you aren't doing organized play).
3. Both, sort of. They are compatible with each other, so you can take cards from one and use them in the other (especially true with characters you might want to play), but how well the "transplanted" cards would work will depend. And locations won't be of any use in a "foreign" adventure path.
4. Yes.

Of course, you can start playing Skull & Shackles with 4 players with just the base set. If you like it, then you can buy the other decks.

OK, so there is an adventure deck for each 'chapter' in the AP, just as books for the RPG path. Got it.
Exactly. With just the box-set alone, you have access to about 10 Scenarios (one Stand-alone simple Adventure of five Scenarios that's good for learning the rules and beefing up your characters just a hair, and the first Adventure of the Path, with five Scenarios).
That's one AP I do not have in RPG books, so I figured that would be a good one to try the card game with.
The reason that I generally start people on Rise of the Runelords is that there're no special AP-specific rules. You don't have ships and plunder, or mythic paths and cohorts, or anything like that. You can get a solid foundation of understanding under your belt before you check out other APs.
Getting the box set based on an RPG-AP you already own isn't going to "spoil" anything. Since all the encounters are shuffled cards, knowing the "plot" won't hurt anything.
That said, S&S is an AWESOME ACG AP. (Though the last Scenario of Adventure 5 is kicking my ass...)

If you've already played the RPG AP, sure. If you own it but haven't played it yet, the card game can totally spoil plot elements of the RPG AP.
