I'm not participating in this bundle, but for what little it's worth, I've been trying to minimize my use of the site while all this is happening and make it at least that tiny bit easier for the system. XD You've done an amazing job keeping it up at all, and deserve a real round of applause at the office after everything settles down.

As basically a new Pathfinder player (played a session once years ago, using the HB Bundle to get into it more), I cannot believe the amount of people throwing really negative comments around about this. Given the incredible deal we got through the HB, and the amount of people going for it, stuff like this was going to happen, and we'll all get our PDFs in time.
Thank you IT for the amazing work you're doing, and thank you Paizo for the amazing bundle itself! Excited to get started when things calm down.

I was just about to post something similar to this. I'm a long-time player, first-time poster and wanted to say thanks for 'working through the leaks', as it were. I'm sure it's been a rough couple of days but you'll pull through. I would post a picture of a cat hanging from a tree branch with the caption 'Hang In There' if I knew how. But anyway, thanks again.

Keep up the good work...
I think most of the negativity is coming from the 'instant gratification' crowd, so, don't take it too hard. Most of us know how to wait. and, suspense just increases the pleasure when we can finally start digging into our new digital 'shinies'.
I'm sure most of us are grateful for the updates and the fact that you 'guys'(non-gender specific) are working hard to fix things.

One more voice of appreciation for the IT people. You guys are working very hard, while some of the people you are trying to help keep insulting you. There are many more of us just waiting quietly and appreciating what you do.

+1 On every positive comment in this thread!
May your servers stay as cool as you are!
(Reminds me of back when I worked as a designer/developer for an internet company. I recall a couple of times when our servers would start going crazy... Like denial-of-service type slammed. Turns out one of our clients, ECW Wrestling, would have some kind of pay-per-view event, without letting us know. Yeah, a couple hundred thousand people hitting the site at once might be something to give us a heads up about...)

I am completely knew to this community and I must say that I am very excited that there is this much new support being thrown at Pathfinder. Kudos to the the people at Paizo for their partnership with Humble Bundle and giving us this great deal to get in to the Pathfinder universe. I am in no way put off by the downloading issue and I am instead glad that this fundraiser was such a big hit. Thanks Paizo! See you at the table.

I have to say I'm very impressed with the apparent calm shown by the staff here and the way things are going (even in the face of people who absolutely positively have to be able to play their magical elf games RIGHT NOW!). I suspect it might be like the old swan comparison - serene on the surface and paddling like hell under the water.
It's taken a while to get the core books down, but I have plenty to read now to keep me going.
Good job!

Not gonna lie, I was miffed when i had trouble downloading the Hell's Vengeance player's guide.
But I totally understand WHY it was being a pain.
That Humble Bundle was an unprecedented success.
Thanks Paizo IT for doing everything you are, for making this as painless a time as possible for everyone.
You guys rock!

I've been watching the bundle numbers and have to say as a fellow IT person keep up the good work. I understand that it's not as easy as just flipping a switch to allow more traffic and am glad this went as big as it did. Just remember for every complainer there are 5 or 6 of us silently supporting you. 41k bundles as of Sunday night. :)

First of all, I'd like to apologize for contributing to the insanity. As soon as I found out about the bundle (on the first day, no less) I proceeded to tell all my gaming friends, my various forums, and even those reading my blog about the fantastic deal. So I may be partly responsible for encouraging more people to purchase the bundle. I'm sorry to give you guys extra work!
But you all are doing a fantastic job so far. Keep up the great work!
And for those who are complaining about the site... are you planning on reading all the material, getting all your friends together, and having an adventure put together tonight? No? Then just be patient. You'll have a chance eventually. It's not like your products are going away any time soon. I first came here in 2009, and the site still remembers the free stuff I requested all the way back then! So relax, get to know some of your fellow gamers better, and have fun!
After all, it is just a game. No reason to blow a gasket about it.
Game on!

From one IT guy to a "bitter of IT" well done good sirs (and madams)! You're often unappreciated and it's probably marketing's fault for not telling you they were going to do this to you. I'll do you all a favor and wait a few weeks to download my humble bundle. Can't wait to see all the awesome loot I got.

Nothing compared to what I did. I immediately started to download everything all at once. Then I regretted my decision as soon as I was done. Poor IT guys. Hope when all this is over they buy you all doughnuts and give you all a few days off.

As someone who has been in IT for a long time and who currently runs their own servers, my hat is off to the IT team as well. I've seen numerous sites crash and burn with much less of a spike than what has been generated by the super successful Humble Bundle. Meanwhile, you've managed to keep up the core system and continue to work through the massive new load of requests.
For the business side, congrats again on an amazing success. I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of final numbers roll in from it when the dust settles. As it stands, it's been a hit from the first hour or so that it was launched.
