So hand update. I can now make a fist without flinching badly on my left hand. My right hand is probably about 85% pain free. Still hurts when my scabs get touched or poked, but otherwise I'm good.
Also good; More band-aids.
It’s good to keep it moving. When I had major lacerations on my hand in 2015, I didn’t move it enough (docs never told me to) and wound up with inflexible scar tissue requiring occupational therapy to correct. Keep it moving and flexible.

The Deer of my Neighborhood seem to have a taste for the foliage in my yard. Sorry for the lighting. It was early Sunset when these were taken.

That's pretty awesome.
Especially if your a hunter and/or like the taste of deer steak? ;P

Humidity? Skeeters?
You two must also live in the bloody hot,... I mean lovely south. ;P
The odds of melting to death on my porch with near 100% humidity (a standard here in Lousy-Anna), under the back porch ceiling fan, while also being turned into a pin-cushion by the tiny blood-sucking vampires despite the best efforts of the bug zapper, prevent me from using my porch too much except brief time(s) during early Spring and Fall.
And during grilling.
I will risk much to burn meat on fire as God intended.
:D

I live in Arkansas and we have our own mosquito problems. While possibly not as bad as Louisiana (though I'd say we run a pretty close second) it's miserable, especially in the flatlands and delta.
As for grilling, well, I don't do it. A former roommate left a really nice gas grill here when he moved out and I've never used it, because I don't now how and I'm also a bit pyrophobic. I'll just take my burgers as evolution has mandated; from a restaurant.

You seemed so game for it last year, DMCal...

Nothing wrong with getting your burgers from a restaurant! (As long as its a GOOD restaurant!) ;P
I'd much rather spend the same amount of money as getting a good burger from a real restaurant, and just buy enough meat to burger my whole family. AND I get the pleasure of scorching them myself! :)
But, the fact that I'm leaning more towards pyro-maniac than pyro-phobic helps with that too. :)
Otherwise, yeah, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Lousy-Anna, we all share similar weather and insect related issues. Especially if you live anywhere near a body of water. (Which in Lousy-Anna, is the entire state!) ;P

That was before I realized I'm utterly inept. I was very excited to try it, but the tanks weren't hooked up and were empty, besides. The grilled burgers I did get were at a family cookout, where I at least did some burger flipping.

Charcoal at the park's grills. It takes practice and some pointers.

Ok, so I'm painting my living room. That's where I had all my gaming books "on display" and for use. I have a really bad back and both legs don't hold up too well and I've filled 5 milk crates with 1e and 2e books. The PF and 3.x books...I don't know what I'm going to with them yet. And I can't carry the crates to the storage room because of said physical issues. My son, who I counted on to come help, has been very vague with his answers about coming to help out, so I'm pretty tired of his crap (I love my son more than my own breath but he can be a pain at least half the time).
Thanks for letting an old man vent. Now it's back to trying to move things.

No hunting permitted in the city limits.

Indeed!
The idiot, erm, thief who breaks into my house will not hear, 'Stop or I'll shoot!'
They will hear 'Click, TWANG!' then 'Swish, slice'.
(Bows and swords, respectively.) ;P

Oi, blink indeed.
Seems thats all my eyes get to do once i lay down before I have to get back up again.
But at least the kids (and wife-teacher) are out of school! So I dont have to get up at the crack of stupid! ;P
(and 4freakin' AM certainly qualifies!) O_o
JUST early enough to get myself in on time.
And NEXT week, my family (and my sister's family) have received the gift of a condo on the beach for a week. So the only reason to get up before noon will be to get more BEACH TIME! :D
So yeah, I should have Interwebs access, but that doesn't mean I plan to use it, much. :)
SO,...
One thing on stage today, set my crew up for next week, (another week of orientations and a band concert) My daughter's oft-delayed 'official' HS Grad party, and tomorrow it's depart for the beach day! :D
So yeah, HAPPY WEEKEND TO ALL!

DungeonmasterCal |

I'm blinking, too. I woke at 4:40 this morning and never made it back to sleep after not falling into slumber until after midnight. I have to help my son and his friend move today, too. I am not the happiest person at this time.
Rags, have a great time at the beach! Wear your sunscreen and watch out sharks, jellyfish, and Deep Ones.

Thanks Cal, Hope that you and Pat both get through the day and BACK to bed safe and sound! :)
I'll wear sunscreen, (I'm stubborn, not stupid) And will watch out for the SHarks and Jelly Fish. (Actually mostly Jelly fish. The friggin' sharks are on their own. If they want a bite of this cranky older coot, they are truly hungry!) ;P
I figure by the time I realize a Deep One is rising, it is already too late, so might as well enjoy THAT show! :P
(Although I'd be hoping more Kaiju and less Deep One, more of a chance of survival) ;P

Cal,
Hand is doing better. I had to reschedule my appointment with the orthopedic specialist, due to the fact starting this past Wednesday (June 20th) until July 3rd, I'll be kind of having to house/dog sit for a client that lives REALLY far away. Well maybe more than 20 minutes but that's still too far for me. But otherwise, hand good, dog healing, Mom, home from Wine Tasting; Brother, back with his wife as they plot to bring about a semi-utopia while he also finishes his dissertation.
Mostly now I'm focused on getting through next week as I have to check on a cat...and wait to hear from another possible client.
Today though, car in the shop, waiting to see if the engine is exploding or something thanks to "Check engine light" and my brother mentioning "your exhaust sounds bad." So we'll see.

More bad news.
Magnus the Great Dane will see his last day Monday or Tuesday :-(
Oh no. I'm so sorry. A friend had to say goodbye to her Dane this week. I love dogs and I value their friendship and the love they return so much. My heart truly goes out to you. Give Magnus a pat for me.
