So today marks the end of the slightly more wild than I expected wedding weekend of my youngest brother to his beloved. It was interesting to say the least, not the least of which there were a few times I was sure Mom was going to breathe fire on a couple of guests who were rude along with being...less than courteous (I'm using that instead of words that probably aren't PG appropriate.)
Mostly it was time to watch and see how this event would shape out, who would be the stars and unsung heroes...and me, the guy that didn't get the spotlight but honestly didn't want it. Mostly because it wasn't my day, nor did I have that much to contribute. I mean yes, I gave a great many thanks you before I did my toast; I also helped be part of the pictures when called on, along with escorting the mother of the bride, while my middle brother escorted my Mom up the aisle.
We also had plenty of people mistake my godfather and my mom's lifelong friend, Uncle Al, as actual preacher. (Note, he was the officiant, but he isn't truly ordained as my uncle, the Anglican Bishop. But hey, Church of Universal Life was still welcomed!)
Mostly, I'll reflect more on the fact that now I'm the bachelor, but I'm pretty sure that's for the best.

Oh naw. That’s north of 33K I think at this point. It just means I had too much time on my hands this past decade. Not really something to be proud of.
Indeed :-)
Pat you are now 93 posts behind me in total, you have too much of a life down there in DC, need to sit home and catch up to me again!

S-Shadow,
Thanks. We've had him now for almost 4 months now. He's a German Shepard Mix (supposedly part border collie) named Galway. (No I didn't name him that. The shelter did or else his previous owner) He was a surrender and we've slowly, very slowly getting his courage up. He's not always a quiet dog, like Duke was, but he's getting better about some his puppy-ish habits (To be fair he'll be 2 in August.)
