Well, visiting Białowieża in itself before they cut it down would be fun.
Well, aside of the fact it would too costly trip for me to afford now, and the fact that I am too lazy to go for camping and such. Especially that because I don't drive I would have to fit all my things in a backpack and carry it on my own poor back...

If you hear about someone winning in Massachusetts on Wednesday cross your fingers!
Seriously though, how fun would that be?
I don't play to win. After all, the chances are vanishingly small. However, the couple of bucks I spend are a cheap price to dream. And, someone will eventually win it. I find it endlessly fascinating thinking of how I would use that money.

Wow.
I actually have one of those 75mm shells from WWI. I got it from my great-uncle Anthony Ryan when he passed away in the Seventies. It isn't engraved or anything, but I have the shell and a 'top' piece that fit on top of it (analogous to a 'bullet').
I also have a couple of the WWI German spiked helmets. Uncle Tony liked his trophies...

Over $410 Million USD. That's a whole lotta cabbage.
I'm liking the ship idea. Each year could be a different venue.
I wonder if you can charter a cruise ship? Or maybe just reserve space on one for a convention? I mean, just because you have a lot of cash you shouldn't go too crazy..

The folks at National Review Magazine do a Cruise at least once a year, so I'd imagine all it takes is a bit of money.

I see no reason why one couldn't charter a cruise ship. It must be costly, not to mention the collateral they might ask, though.

Yeah I've heard of themed cruises, so it wouldn't be so hard I warrant.
I'm sure I could lure a few industry folks onboard with a free cruise and a small stipend..

If I had known you back then, I would have. :)
A likely story!
