So I finally finished reading this AP and I have to say - wow. This is definitely one of the best Adventure Path's Paizo has ever done. The adventures all flow together amazingly, the variety of encounters and set pieces, the excellent villain - it's all just so good. Just wanted to let everyone who worked on this AP know - you did outstanding, in every department. Now don't disappoint me with Hell's Vengeance! ;)

I'd echo this statement. After reading all adventures I see this as one that could knock the Curse off it's Crimson Throne (HA!). Deffo running this after I wrap up Skulls'n'Shackles.

While I'd like that to be true, I don't quite see it. Rebels seems to veer between the stories it wants to tell as much or more than Curse does. The murder mysteries (plural!) feel tacked on to Rebels' story, unlike Curse's much more well-integrated mystery section.

Eh, much as I love it, Curse had its own out of left field curveballs- A History of Ashes, in particular, was a heck of a tonal shift.

They're definitely my top 2 APs, though.

Glad to hear folks are enjoying "Hell's Rebels!" If you DO like/love the AP, though... PLEASE write up some reviews for it! It's certainly nice to hear good feedback here on this thread, but this thread isn't really a place where idle customers looking for a new adventure path experience will go to find out if an AP sounds fun. Reviews on the boards, be they here or at EN World or on Amazon or wherever are the best place for that!

And! Thanks again for the kind words!

On a principle, I write reviews after running an adventure, this usually allows me to gauge how players react, how do they RP and of course, how deadly the encounters are.

The good news is that I'm finishing my S'n'S campaign one adventure early and going forward with Hells Rebelles. With a team that has 3 lawyers on the roster, them Thrunes better draft their laws carefully...

While I understand that, it's also a bit unfair if you end up running the adventure for bad players.

A happy medium might be to post a review before you run it, reviewing it at the very least for how fun it is to read (since a LOT more folks read adventures and never run them than read AND run them), with a disclaimer of "I haven't run this yet" or the like.

The fact that you're just now finishing an AP we published about 60 some volumes before this one tells me that it's gonna be a few more years at least before you finish Hell's Rebels, at which point while a review (be it good or bad) would be nice, it'd be several years too late to really help folks decide if they'll be into the AP.

Oh, James, don't underestimate us. We've done the entire RotRl over the course of 2 years, we're looking at wrapping up RoW we began in 2014 this year as well, and well, S'n'S is so laid back and full of side treks of all sorts that it kind of turned into an episodic sandbox rather than a "path" adventure, and it's now into it's 4th year. Kind of testimony to how much fun you guys hand over to us.

I might try to make a "dry" review for HR. From mere cursory glance, I'm loving it. It's what "rebel against Thrune" AP should be. And given the CG/CN rebellious nature of most of my players, this should gel perfectly.

I will! I really like these AP with a lot of roleplay opportunity in it! Curse, CoT, Kingmaker, S&S... Way better in my opnion that the ones with dongeons crawling all the time. I was disapointed by Mummy's Mask and Giant.

Anyway Rebells is really good and we just finished Kingmaker, I'll go for it! Nice to see that Paizo continues to deliver really good content!
