No, but, "now you new guys can enjoy a perennial favorite with shiny updated rules" doesn't exactly sound like a hard sell, while, "The AP that literally everybody agrees needs a gargantuan overhaul, from basic plot structure to in-setting canon portrayals of entire cultures! We fixed it! We promise!" might not be the best move.

But are AEs about "helping" APs or about showcasing high points from the history of Pathfinder?
With only one Anniversary Edition to date, nailing down what an AE is "about" is trying to hit a moving target. Rise of the Runelords was a perfect choice for a lot of reasons: our first post-Dungeon magazine adventure path, the one with the least stock, the fifth anniversary of Pathfinder, the tenth anniversary of Paizo—a lot of excellent reasons to update and reprint it which don't necessarily apply to other Adventure Paths.

Certainly of the 3.5 APs that could use a facelift, Curse is the most popular.
I wouldn't expect another anniversary hardcover before 2018 though. If it's not already on the schedule, it isn't happening for 2017. Besides, the games 10th anniversary will need something special.
2017 is the 10th anniversary of the Adventure Paths and the 15th anniversary of Paizo as a company. It will also be a full 5 years after the Runelords AE came out in 2012. Thus making it the perfect year for a new anniversary edition hardback.
We are in agreement that it is more about interest than either hate or love though.

For some reason I had 2008 in my head as the release of Pathfinder. But I guess that was just the Beta. The APs started in 2007, the RPG was released in 2009. So they have some flexibility as to what they want to consider "Pathfinder"'s 10th anniversary.

I think kingmaker is a good candidate personally - it made a huge splash when it was released, seems to have sold very well and has a few issues that could use a rework (such as tidying up/expanding the kingdom building rules and integrating the ultimate BBEG a little more clearly for the players).
I doubt it would include much from the forums, but I'd expect some extra material of some description.

The only real argument against Kingmaker is that it's not that old and uses Pathfinder system rules already.
I wasn't all that wild about it by the middle, but its popularity is pretty near impossible to argue with.

If the right AP came along, and it was a few years old, why not? I haven't picked up the Rise of the Runelords edition, but I thumbed through it in the bookstore and it's pretty nice.
and if there's an AP that has some expandable rules underlying it, or might be able to improve it - Kingmaker, Wrath of the Righteous, etc. - that material can be added in.
