If you start to report a PFS game and fill in 200000 in the GM# field, the username will auto-populate. It appears to be assigned to a real person.
It's an eye-opener to realise that with a PFS number in the 1700s (and given that online registration started at about 1600), I'm in the first 0.1% of registered PFS numbers...

I have a feeling many of them have not reported a first game, since the sheets of cards come 10 at a time. I know I still have a few numbers I've reserved, but that I haven't given out yet. Still, a large portion of those numbers most certainly HAVE been assigned to active players, and it's phenomenal growth. I've also got a number in the 50,000s, and I started mid-2012.

I don't put much stock in what the currently releasing number is.
Too many players have walked away and too many numbers are reserved and then never handed out. The fact that 200,000 have been reserved doesn't mean those numbers are in use. Only event reporting can tell us that.

Correct, First numbers released stated at like 1603 or something.

Huh.. Posted this afternoon, but for some reason it got eaten... VC Bill Jones, aka Xath, was the one that downloaded #200,000 for U-Con here in Michigan. I happened to see this thread the day before I went to the convention and happened to see a stack of new IDs and saw #200,003 as well as 199,9-- something. Since someone registered that number he must have handed it out at the con. :) So #200,000 is somewhere in Michigan or close by. ;)

I was also at U-Con. Something very unusual happened. I was at a table and six out of the seven of us had four digit numbers! Generally, I'm the lowest number at a table so this was a pleasant surprise. It was a great game.
Wow, 200,000 numbers generated. Anyone hear the latest number of active players? Are we still growing?

Nice! Were you not there Sunday, or did I just not see you?
