5ft step then spell then Amazing Initiative for another move action.

So, i have been trying to find an answer to this. One of my players in a game is wanting to make a 5 foot step to get away from a foe, then vanish using the spell then with the mystic power, Amazing Initiative make another move action.

In Amazing Initiative, it says that they can have another standard action but move is a Move Action.

I have ruled that they can't make another move action, since in the 5 foot section of the rules, it stats that you can't make a 5 foot step in the same round that you use a move action.

Turning a Standard into a Move action isn't the problem, but actually moving after a 5ft step isn't allowed;

He can make a move action but not to MOVE. There is a difference but if he had an ability like Studied Target or whatnot that did.. he would be fine, but in general once you make a 5ft step grid movement is prevented.

That's what i am thinking.

Tell your player to use the "Withdrawl" action and then use Amazing Initiative to cast the spell. That way they achieve the action they desire without having to ruffle any feathers.
