Possessed Oracle: Psychic, not divine

Homebrew and House Rules

Nothing elaborate here, just something to point out and suggest as a house rule.

The possessed oracle archetype, given its theme, ought to convert the oracle's casting and spell-like abilities from divine to psychic.

I get why it doesnt, giving the archetype consideribly predates psychic magic, but now.. I think it is reasonable. What do you think?

Depends on who/what are you posessed by.
The archetype is based mostly on the trope of demonic posessions, I think, so divine fits like a glove. If you wanted to go more with a ghost/poltergheist feeling, psychic could be fitting too.

I do think that psychic magic would sill fit with demonic possession, given i'd still associate it with the occult, but perhaps thats just me. You make a fair point though.

Scarab Sages

It's mostly a flavor decision, so it's up to you. Personally, I think psychic spells are more restrictive to cast than divine spells, so it would be an overall slight nerf to the class, and it would have a few interactions with feats.

If you want to do that as a house rule, go for it though.
