The Minotaur Mercenary in the Monk class deck and "remove from the game"

Pathfinder Adventure Card Society

So, the Minotaur Mercenary is in the Monk class deck.

"Removing Cards from Play" only covers the case where the boon is in the game box and you encounter it in a location - it says nothing about what happens when it's in your deck.

So what happens to the Minotaur Mercenary when you're in AD5 in OP and you play it? Do you remove it from your Class Deck Box, never to see it again?

(Note that I bypass the "Removing Cards from Play" by just pre-purging any cards that say they're removed from the game. Makes it easier for me.)

Do you really think removing a card from your Class Deck box, never to see it again, is something we'd instruct you to do?

Just put it back in the box. It's in your box.

I assumed the organizer would need to light the card on fire. Very disappointed by this ruling.

I am making this the new official rule. Look for it in the next version of the Guide. Organizers, add "fire-making capability" to your equipment lists.

Some stores frown on fire-making. Perhaps add an option to instead eat the card?

I am partial to "ripping up into confetti" myself.

Sadly, while I love a good card flambé as much as the next pyromaniac person, it would probably be safer for them to simply eat the card. Unless the store/location has some good flameproof tables, etc.

Ah yes, the classic Chaos Confetti from MtG. I think we could work with this.

Good; I expected this to up the Blacker Lotus and the Chaos Confetti cards; +1.

I was also looking for a chance to use this thing.

I have bad aim with a lighter. Would it appropriate to simply burn down the structure we're playing in, to guarantee total destruction of the card?

Grand Lodge

Yes.

Then I support the "Kill It With Fire" ruling.

It is the only way to be sure.
