auto bonus progression

Rules Questions

kind of need some help here and something official would be better.

We are using auto bonus progression and I am playing a fighter with unarmed fighter archetype.

can I apply my weapon attunement on my unarmed strikes?

some are saying no because weapon attunement only applies to manufactured weapons and thus only the unarmed strikes of a monk or brawler count.

Hero Lab agrees with this idea and does not consider unarmed strikes as a weapon unless you are a monk or brawler.

It does not say manufactured weapon. So natural weapons count (I think).

true, but it does say:

"The character can attune herself to any one weapon in her possession"

the term "in possession" can be loosely interpreted as manufactured weapons only.

Do you not possess your own body then?

The Unchained systems usually need some tweaking and there really isn't a RAW to go with them. They are explicitly meant to be adjusted using the presented systems as a baseline. One of the known issues for the automatic system is that it doesn't work well with natural attackers/unarmed attackers. The suggestion that I thought worked best, since an AoMF costs twice as much per bonus, was to use the two weapon progression of the automatic bonus progression. Basically, attuning all your natural attacks and unarmed attacks requires two weapon slots, so you get your bonuses at 8,14,15, and 17.

Calth, I think that two-weapon fighting is the issue.

unarmed strikes using two-weapon fighting and ABP would grant the bonus to two weapons over 1 (like a traditional two-weapon) wielder.

the answer you provided makes better sense.
