I am toying with the idea of making a fighter with max'd out ac. Unless i missed something it looks like at level 1,
NAGAJI(+1 nat)
Four mirror armor (+6)
Tower Shield (+4)
Dodge (+1)
Shield Focus (+1)
Dexterity 14 (+2)
Grand total of 25 going out the door. Offense is +3 with warhammer, not great for a fighter obviously, but this is where the following question comes into play.
Whats better for this type of build?
Tower shield specialist archtype? It allows a few tricks with the tower shield, plus removes that pesky -2 for attacking.
OR
Shield fighter
Using a Heavy shield instead can start the same way, but at level 3 you start getting bonuses, can ditch the tower shield and have nearly the same ac with no penalty on warhammer anyway? I havent number crunched much as i am not horribly good atit, but does anyone have any thoughts?

So you won't be able to start out with all that in your first adventure. It's no big deal. Play your first adventure with a normal AC and then pick up all the goodies from the cash from completing your first mission.
I'm going to ask you a more interesting question. What are you doing with that great AC?
In the PFS game I'm GMing right now, one of the players is playing Jan Itor, a Desna Warpriest with an AC in your range. He typically tries to run through the bad guys and provoke attacks of opportunity so that the other players can get positioning. He also body guards and offers AC bonuses to other characters, and he bashes things with the shield he's wielding.
It's a stunningly effective build, and very tactically sound. I'm going to see if I can get him to post here and comment on some of the things he does, because he certainly has come up with a great niche to help the party.

Yes, i plan on trying to use the character to set up other players, and make enemies waste AOO's as well as provide flanking. I decided to try this when using an anklyosaurus on my druid with wooden armor (26 at level 1) he hasn't even been hit yet, and the druid is almost 4.
As for herolab, i know its not 100% correct OR a paizo rule source, but its a good go to guide most the time, then you just double check anything you have questions on while the math gets done for you.
