Disguised zombie

Let's say I have a zombie human and I want him to pass as a living human. Disguise Other runs off the Disguise Self rules and states that you alter its appearance but you can not change the creature type. Disguise Other won't work because the creature type is undead. Any ideas. I would eventually want a magical object that would have a zombie look like a living version of itself. What spell would the object be based on, and what would you estimate the cost to be.

As another option, would Gentle Repose on a fresh corpse before Animate Dead allow it to pass for living?

Judging from the effects and description of this item, Gentle Repose should make your corpse look fine.

As per RAW, Disguise Other doesn't work, but as a GM, I'd say that it works fine. I would say you could disguise your human zombie as an elf zombie or whatever, but not as a ghost.

However, your zombie still probably doesn't have the social graces to act human. You'd need an intelligent undead for that.

Look into Veil. You can basically make anything appear as anything else.
The only catch is that it is a level 6 wizard spell.

I've used hats of disguise on my zombie horses to make them look living.

This means it is impossible to make a Zombie look like a Living person because undead and humanoid are two different types.
You could, however, make a Zombie look like a Vampire.

There are plenty of undead that look alive, like vampires. Thus, I can make them look alive by making them look like living undead. :P
