If we only get one level of gestalt, I'll take one of two approaches with Shalewigg. Unfortunately I won't be able to play the druid/witch combo, so that really changes a lot about her.
I would like to either play a race with a +1 EL (essentially 35 RP) or a CR 1 race that works well for the witch. Or I'll take a level of monk (Unchained) as my gestalt level. Shalewigg for sure needs to be able to fight with her bare hands.
Whichever you prefer is fine.

The brawler is great if I want to switch up feats, or if I'm taking more levels of brawler or fighter later. The ability score build has me with a decent Wisdom so monk gives me the same skills, unarmed strike, the same number of feats (just the feat is static) and the AC bonus. That AC bonus impacts my CMB and Shalewigg wants to drown people, especially after level 10. So I need to amp those abilities.

Half-tempted to go Soulthief Life Leech/Sadist Vitalist with Unchained Monk (maybe even Sensei, if it's compatible) for the gestalt and just play up the callous disregard for other people's lives. It's also super on-point flavor-wise for an Evil campaign, while still being a fantastic group healer.
I have a character that could be converted pretty easily, a Dwarf Vitalist who could easily replace Xoruk. I'd need to rewrite his backstory a bit (he was intended for a Ravenloft game) and change some stats and such around, but he could prove to be a solid healer for the group without being boring or making it as if anyone has to be forced into the role.

Obviously Shalewigg is a full arcane caster. Her Superstar archetype costs her hexes, but not spellcasting.
I'm not sure a life oracle is good. Not only is it hard to see that as evil, but it relegates the palyer to healybot. Something most don't want to relegate themselves to.
Oracles choose to know all cure or all inflict spells, so that by itself should work well. The entire rest of the character can be built around something more interesting than just healing that way.

Oh, got his background made up. You want me to post it here or wait til you have a thread up and post it there?
Posting it here is fine. I have a few new players in my Vampire game that I need to introduce into the campaign tonight. After that if I am not too tired I will get the new thread up and running.

One tutor stood out from the rest. Trikaro Vostaff, a fellow half-Elf and his fencing instructor, taught him much more than just how to use a blade. He taught him the finer points of getting the better of any deal, and, more importantly, the mentality that “Everyone is a mark. Some are just easier than others.” With this and everything else he was taught, his family decided that he was ready for life in the big city.
Set up in a comfortable building in the southern half of Talingarde, given a modest monthly income, Vaundour quickly set up a life as a con-man. Using his wits and easy-going charm, he easily fooled the gulible and naive, and keeping himself on the right side of the law.
One day, however, he misjudged a new mark. Looking at the wide-eyed expression and well-tailored clothing, he honed in like a hawk to a mouse and walked away with a large pouch of gold. Two hours later, he was dragged into the dreaded Branderscar Prison, charged with fraud for taking the money of a member of the Royal family itself! Vaundour knew the punishment, but he won't take it lying down. One way or another, he will get out of this and avenge himself. After all, he earned that money!
Oh, as a warning, if you get the thread up and running tomorrow, I don't know when I'll be able to post. Have a party I have to go to right after work, and I don't know when I'll be back.

While the thread may be up to post in Discussion, the game won;t get moving till the weekend. Need to read through some of the material first!

I will be without RELIABLE service until Friday or so, I'm transferring all my files onto my new laptop. However, very ready to get to the game, once I'm able.
@Flyn: A summoner or magus could be an interesting addition to the party as well. Summoners work well as buffers, and you can very easily build eidolons to work as stealthy characters. That would fill the buffer roll, and your eidolon could be sneaky. Heck, you could flavor it as a literal Shadow.
Your UMD would provide good enough healing with a wand of CLW.

For clarity's sake, am I able to combine Sensei and the Unchained Monk? It seems that the RAW is no, even though Unchained Monk doesn't lose any of the abilities Sensei changes, but I figured I'd ask.
It seems the trade off to gain Advice in the Sensei Archetype is the loss of Flurry of Blows, Fast Movement, and Improved Evasion. Why would the Unchained Monk not lose these abilities with a Sensei Archetype?

![]() |

No, I mean the base Unchained Monk doesn't trade those out compared to the CRB Monk. All the class features that Sensei trades out still exist for the Unchained Monk.
In retrospect, however, I don't actually think there's any reason to go Sensei if I'm only taking a single level of Monk for my single level of gestalt. I just need to update the character sheet and his background and Pyotr will be ready to go. Probably won't be done until tomorrow night, though.

Alright.
Not to worry, I will not be able to re-start the Gameplay thread until at least Saturday. I need to read the first two threads (to see what you have all done thus far and to fit in our two new Heroes, I mean Villains) and read at least one or two chapters of the adventure before I get it moving.

Oh, quick question, and the answer might cause me to change my character slightly: Can we multiclass to increase our gestalt class level? For instance, I'm an Alchemist/Fighter, and plan on leveling up in Alchemist. Would I be able to multiclass and pick Fighter? Cause if so, I might chage Vaundour to Alchemist/Unchained Rogue for the Finesse Training.

the Shining Host |

Yes, everyone can multiclass freely unless RAW dictates against it.
For example, I do not believe you can be a Monk/Barbarian and Paladins have some restrictions on multiclassing I believe. Though to be honest I am more of a 3.5 than a Pathfinder guy so some of those rules may have been slightly modified and I just missed em.
