Fernus finds Shadow rummaging through his packs and he finds it so sad, he knows he hasn't got any biscuits left. Well perhaps Fernus can go without a few less apples and somewhat stale hard bread as well.

He picks up an apple and a slice of bread from his pack and holds it in front of Shadow's mouth, apple first.

"Here you go Shadow, it's not much but it's something." He says as he pats the horse on his flank.

Tarinhil scowls as Bear draws the scroll, "Might be premature. It's probably just a hallway." He then approaches the southwest door carefully, first listening to try to hear what may be on the other side, and then examining the door to see if it may be trapped. Once satisfied it looks safe, he will check to make sure the hinges aren't rusty or squeaky and then carefully open the door a small crack and look into the next room before openning the door all the way.
