Hero Lab - Witch Patron Spells

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I cannot find the Witch Patron spells in Hero Lab. They are not on my familiar list or selectable anywhere that I can find in Hero Lab.

Anyone else have this problem? Where should I have the ability to select patron spells?

They should show up on your familiar's spells once you can cast them. Remember that the first patron spells you get are 2nd level, so they won't show up until you can cast that level of spells.

First... make sure you have a patron selected.

Second.. make sure you have a familliar selected... remember that's your spellbook.

Third.. Patron spells should add themselves to your spellbook as you level.

Scarab Sages

You don't select the spells, you select the patron, and it selects them for you.

I understand. You mean the "Familiar's Spells" tab right under the special abilities correct? Are they in a special place there or just listed as another available spell?

That is the first place I looked and I am not seeing them. Odds are I am not looking for the correct thing?

On my portfolio, they're on the Witch tab under the blue button "Familiar's Spells" on the left side of the screen.

They're listed by level and alphabetically with the other spells your familiar stores for you. If you want to know which ones they are, they're also listed under the Patron in the Choose Patron box.

They're where your spellbook would be if you were playing a Wizard.

I understand they are selected for me. Will they be spells on my spell list I memorize like any other spell or are they like a domain ability?

I cannot find them on a spell list to memorize. Perhaps I don't understand and am looking for the wrong thing?

They're on your spell list, not separate like domain spells.

That is what I thought. The patron spells are simply not there for me. I just made 6th level with an Agility patron so I should have Haste as an option to memorize as a third level spell and it is not anywhere in my familiar spells. When I look on the "?" next to my patron selection I do so the list of available spells but they are not in my familiar (spellbook).

What level is your witch?

Edit: I just made a 6th level Witch in Herolab... even without selecting a familliar, the patron spells from 1-3 showed up in the book, including Haste.

Do you have a high enough Int to cast 3rd-level spells?

6th... sorry, should of said that. However, my level 2 and 4 patron spells are also not on my spell lists.

Yes... Int is plenty.

I don't know. I just made a 6th-level Agility witch in Hero Lab, and they're listed for me.

Just in the "Familiar's Spell" tab. Appearing as any other spell would in your spell book?

Maybe I need to re-install or something

Yup.

Without even setting up my familiar or having an Int greater than 10. Do your cantrips show up?

Yup.... everything I would normally expect to see is there. Just missing the patron spells for some reason.

I would suggest that you back up your portfolio files. delete and reinstall the Pathfinder Game System. Then first try making a brand new character before you open your old portfolio files. I think your install may be corrupted.

They should be the spells you cannot delete.

Or go to the Hero Lab forums on wolflair.com and ask for help there.
