Legend Lore as forgery detector

My PC may be running across a forged historical artifact... Now the real artifact would definitely count as have information associated with it. Would using legend lore on the false copy result in the longer 1d10 day casting time? and if so how would a proper bad guy go about hiding the fact that its a forgery?

By using the implant false reading psychic spell, it's a 2nd level spell and it allows a save much like the magic aura spell. It doesn't say anything about how it interacts with legend lore, but as a GM it would be fair to use I think (magic aura can fool analyze dweomer afterall), just make sure you roll their saves in secret.
