Question about Hand Crossbows

Rules Questions and Gameplay Discussion

So I've been doing everything in my power to get rid of the hand crossbows that I started out with in Adowyn's deck. Did anyone else but me miss that you can recharge a ranged card to add an extra D8??? Wow.

Anyway, my real question is...they seem to function similar to a sword/dagger combo. The daggers say you can discard them to add to your combat check. I'm just wondering why the crossbows say that you can recharge another card to add to your check. Just a thought I was having.

Maybe it's strapped on your arm and you use your ranged weapon and then pop off the hand crossbow?

You don't use one hand crossbow, you use two. They weren't going to only allow you to add another hand crossbow though, so they just made it ranged weapons instead.

Maybe you just pop whatever item you have in your pocket on the crossbow and fire it to the target together with the bolt... :-)

Yeah, I shoot my crossbow at you, loaded with... another crossbow. =)

You have to admit it would hurt. Someone.

Hand Crossbows are awesome. I think they're the best Basic ranged weapon in the B set.

I think it's just the ammo you're loading in the crossbow (hence the recharge)

Yes, when I saw someone had a question about hand crossbows, my first thought was, "Is it 'Why are they so awesome?'"
