In the Advanced Race Guide, at least if the PRD is accurate, the Mask of Stoney Demeanor is a magic item, not a spell.
Time to errata the errata? :)
Ignoring that mistake, I'm glad they changed the mask. It was absurdly low priced before.
But isn't 8k absurdly high for what it does? Or am I just saying that because at 500 gp I was still wondering whether it was worth it or not for a particular character that didn't depend on bluff... maybe. Still 8k seems steep.
It adds a +10 to bluff for lying, a +5 to feint, and a -5 to send secret messages (which doesn't matter). At 500 gold it was a complete steal. 8000 is reasonable price for the amount of bonus it gives if you care about being good at lying or want to feint things.
I am glad to get an answer to what I was wondering here. I was confused about it being listed as 500 gp on the Wonderous Item list, as well as being in the "Lesser Minor" section, but then in the detail it says it costs 8,000gp. Apparently the table still needs to be updated. Thanks!
