How are leshys supposed to be used?

Hey Guys,

I find leshys adorable, they are like little plant plushies, but besides being the cutest things ever what do you use them for?

Right now I'm taking advantage of my leshy familiars ability to use my skill ranks to give it use magic device, and then taking evolved familiar to give it a +8 so it can use wands. I also gave it the ability to fly slowly with Spirits Gift: Heavens.

Beyond that though, im not sure what use leshys really have?

Mostly for druids, Leshy Warden do buffs them (even get seaweed Leshy at level 12) and can summon many of them. They get Leshy as familiar, not animal companions.

Well, bit late now but there are Archetypes for Familiars. The Mauler archetype in particular is for helping turn familiars into more combative creatures, and there's a number of Feats as well, though they typically require an archetype. I'm assuming you want more UMDing though, but I can't think of anything in particular that helps with that.

But if you leave him at home, what are you going to use as emergency rations? Is reason I garden- make sure food extra fresh.

(seriously though- you do realize they do not fear death? They are spirits inhabiting a plant body- you can make a new body fairly easily- well, not too easily by magic item crafting standards I suppose)

they may not fear their own death, but I fear for theirs! too cute to be in peril!
