Some Questions regarding "Amount of Characters" with certain cards.

Rules Questions and Gameplay Discussion

I have some questions, hence the title.
If these are in the FAQ: I apoligize for my sloppy reading work!!

1) If I encounter "Giant Maggot Swarm" do I encounter it twice? It says "Before you act, each character encounters Giant Maggot Swarm". Mind you: It doesn't "each other" or "a random other". So if I was alone, I would encounter it twice? If I was with 2 other characters, I would encounter it twice and they all once?

2) The check to close the "Torture Chamber" requires all characters to take 1 Mental Damage. Is this damage for every character in The Torture Chamber or EVERY character? It doesn't really specify that, but some locations (and cards) do.

1. Just once.

2. Everyone. Location doesn't matter.

Off topic remark: I can't believe how long it took me and how many posts of Hawkmoon269's post I've had to read to finally realize that he he took his name from an awesome U2 song.

Up to date it still took U2 more tries (269) to have the song right than it took Vic and Mike to FAQ our game.

But I'm sur Hawk is counting :-)

I had just assumed that the names Hawkmoon1 through Hawkmoon268 were taken.

It could be a combination of both.

He was able to find a Hawk avatar on the site, while looking at the moon, and a RNG gave him the number 269. It's really all one extremely convoluted coincidence.

I thought he was the 269th incarnation of the Eternal Champion

Or it's just release 269 of the PACG [Personal Assistant Cognitive God] Uber Artificial Intelligence formerly known as Hawk.

I just assumed it was a reference to the "rattle and hum" the bot makes when it's powering up to rules analysis mode.

... it ever powers down from rules analysis mode?

It occasionally moves to Play mode.
