I thought about just using one bow, and using one hand for a shield, and the other hand for a melee weapon. You dont need the snapshot feats to threaten, and you get a higher AC than most archers.
Longbow in one hand, Greatsword in the other. Or maybe Longbow, Whip, Rapier? That way, you have long-range, mid-range, and short-range weapons all ready to go already.
Thri-kreen Kathasa are interesting like that.

How many attacks a round would you get?
Normally a Kasatha wielding normal weapons or unarmed gets 4 attacks at level 1, typically you would want to take Multiweapon fighting as one of the feats to offset the twf penalty.
So with Many shot at level 6, nd a +6/+1 BAB how many attacks a round do you get?
Typically you get three now at level 6 (many shots getting you the other), But you have 1 primary and 3 off hands. So do you get 4 attacks this round? Or 5? This is why the many armed thing gets confusing when using weapons like a bow.
kasatha are beasts when unarmed though.

No. You get one rapid shot.
Twin Bows (Ex): At 1st level, a bow nomad can simultaneously wield a combination of two of any of the following ranged weapons: shortbow, longbow, and their composite versions. When a bow nomad makes a full attack with two bows, twoweapon penalties apply and can be offset with Two- Weapon Fighting feats. Since bows aren’t light weapons, a bow nomad with Two-Weapon Fighting takes a –4 penalty on attacks with each of her bows. Extra attacks from other sources, such as those granted by Manyshot or Rapid Shot, can be applied to only one of the wielded bows per round. This ability replaces wild empathy.
So really all this does, is give you 2 extra shots, and make all your shots -4. On top of the -2 from multi shot.

I played a thri-kreen in 2nd edition. I never could land that poison bite though, and that was over 8 months of playing.
