1 Scale of your choice and only 3 scales?

Rules Questions and Gameplay Discussion

In Adventure pack 1, the scenarios reward you with "1 scale of your choice" 4 times. Does this mean that my party could have 2 copies of one of the scales? And are the scales tied to specific players?

There should be four: Cloudwalking, Diguise, Resistance, and Sacred Weaponry. Also, they're ordinary Loot (item) cards.

My box did not have the Sacred Weaponry Scale. I just double checked all of my cards.

On a related note, can you choose a scale that's already been chosen but has ended up back in the box for some reason? Say you pick the Scale of Resistance and it ends up banished in the next scenario - can you reselect it or must you choose a new one?

I'm of the opinion that cards don't have memory so if it's in the box it's fair game.

I tend to agree. If it isn't specifically removed from the game, it's fair game.

I don't see why not. It's not removed, and it doesn't specify it has to be a scale not previously chosen.

Can I take this back to the original question? How can you possibly gain a scale after each of the scenarios with there only being 4 in the box? When you run out of them in the box are you just out of luck? Doesn't seem like much of a reward when it's likely that they'll all be gone after the very first scenario (assuming a 4 player game).

The reward is one scale of the group's choice that the group can then fight over. That reward is given in four scenarios. (It's not one scale per player per scenario with the reward.)

Each player does not gain a scale. The group as a whole gets one scale each time you get the reward..

That makes much more sense. Thanks for the clarification. I should have realized that.
