Ruiner of Everythings - M Goblin Warpriest 1; HP 3/9; AC 20 (T:14, FF:17); CMD 13; Saves (F +3; R +3; W +3); Init +3

Still here as well

Male Dwarf Korak

Alright question time! Is everybody enjoying these tangents? Does it feel more like a living world, or does it feel too unfocused?

RETIRED

It works.

Although, I think we could move on to the meat of the game. There's much more to this AP than just the party. :)

Goblin Inactive

It feels very much like a party, which is to say one person doing something while everyone else stands around watching. Adding goblins into the mix definitely makes it a more interesting party, but it still seems to be one person attempting to do something while the rest of us are finding our own ways to not be bored and wander off.

Female Goblin Unchained rogue 1 (HP9/9, AC18/16/14, Init+5, Per+3, F2,R7,W0)

They're fun, but would perhaps work better happening all at once so no one's left sitting. In a real life game, they'd be awesome, since they'd only take a few minutes to resolve, but PbP is a different beast. No worries, though, mate. :)

Male Goblin *sickened* Barbarian (supersticious) 1 | hp 15 | AC 17 T 14 FF 14 | CMD 14 | F +4 R +3 W +1 | Spd 40' | Init +3 | Acro +6 (+10 run. jump), Perc +1 (darkvision 60 ft.), Stealth +11 (+12 hills), Surv +5 | Rage Rds. 0/6

Ditto.

RETIRED

Anyone else download goblins 4 yet? Looks fun.

It does say we're supposed to be level four before we start it, so I think we may need to do some supplement adventuring or use fast track XP if we're doing the three AP'S as one run. :)

Or we can just suddenly become level appropriate at each point as needed and do without XP.

We'll see how efficient you guys are before I award experience. I'm pumping up the difficulty of a couple of fights, If it's a fun fight, I'll probably use auto leveling, if they're still relatively simple fights, I'll run through xp and decide, if you all want, we can do supplementary adventuring. Let me know.

RETIRED

I'd only suggest supplementary if we aren't level 3 by Goblins Too or level 4 by Goblins Free.

Goblin Inactive

Questions on Eidolon...

1. If they don't have the Mount evolution, that means they're not combat trained as mounts.

I'm assuming then you can't guide then with the knees and actually have to spend a move action to guide them? Also if fail the ride check to control them, you lose the rest of your turn. You also have to use one of your hands which means you can't use two-handed weapons and such?

2. Without the Mount evolution, does the evolution count as an ill suited mount, and as such means you take a –5 penalty on the Ride checks.

RETIRED

He does not have the Mount evolution, so 1 is correct. He is not "combat trained."

But he is smart enough to walk on his own. He's not just an animal. He also has a saddle.

He's quadrapedal, and again has a saddle. I think "ill suited" is for things like trying to ride people or snakes. He is almost the same as a Goblin Dog, which we ride frequently.

Almost all of this is settled with the simple fact that I don't plan to ride him in combat.

Liberty's Edge

Female Orphidian Herbalist 1

Perfectly reasonable.

Liberty's Edge

Female Orphidian Herbalist 1

Whoops, max damage. Sorry Doza!

Female Goblin Unchained rogue 1 (HP9/9, AC18/16/14, Init+5, Per+3, F2,R7,W0)

Happy 4th of July, everyone!

RETIRED

Yes, happy birthday, Murica. ;)

Sorry I missed that I had Chomper. Brain told me I had gone already, sorry. XD

Nigh-Deific Green Dragon * Note: The Great Green God doesn't go for any of that "stat" stuff. Consider him "unstatted" in the White Wolf/World of Darkness sense of the word.

In the States, it's every good little goblin's duty to go see fireworks today. So I'm off. Enjoy today were ever you are in the world.

Okay, seriously, everybody do not post out of turn without a reason given as to why, like if you've got family things to do over the next couple of days, Zashi, you obviously have some problems so you and chomper will go on the same turn from now on. You'll go with whichever one of you has the lower init bonus.

RETIRED

Sorry. I took it down. I thought we'd cycled through.

My bad.

Liberty's Edge

Female Orphidian Herbalist 1

Had you not yelled the warning to the rest of the group we would have cycled through. Excellent team work.

1 person marked this as a favorite.
Male Dwarf Korak

Full disclosure! In this campaign I will laugh as you guys crash and burn by pvp. This is part test and partly entertainment.

Male Dwarf Korak

YES, DURK IS CANON! LOL

Goblin Inactive

We are competitive, and hopefully entertaining, at least.

Male Dwarf Korak

Oh you guys are quite entertaining. Though you slaughtered that spider far too easily, should have gone with the spider swarms instead of the advanced creature template.

Male Dwarf Korak

When the shadows draw near. Not too much information about this, but it sounds like it could become either a wonderful murder mystery or the beginnings of an occult game. If I didn't have so much on my plate right now I'd put in for it, but since I can't, and I was asked too, I'm plugging it.

Female Goblin Unchained rogue 1 (HP9/9, AC18/16/14, Init+5, Per+3, F2,R7,W0)

Idk what it is, but modern settings actually don't really excite me in RPGs. I had a heck of a time trying to get into the Mage: The Ascension game I was playing with some friends. I don't know why, but for some reason I just connect with fantasy much more. Thanks for the link, though!

(I did also see your Way of the Wicked interest check. Definitely interested in that, and I like the idea of starting with NPC classes. Ups the challenge level some, which I enjoy.)

RETIRED

So, by killing the spider so quickly, we kinda missed out on some pretty serious loot. I didn't want to say "let's search the area" because that would be metagaming, and not cool. But, now I'm kinda worried we might really need that. Is there another way we could reclaim that? I have to say, the way it's found is very easily missed, especially if we're not using the pregens because of how circumstancial it is. Especially for something that important.

Male Dwarf Korak

That is why i didn't assume you were moving, and why I had it try to run off in a certain direction before dying, but nobody picked up on that thread so no.

Male Goblin *sickened* Barbarian (supersticious) 1 | hp 15 | AC 17 T 14 FF 14 | CMD 14 | F +4 R +3 W +1 | Spd 40' | Init +3 | Acro +6 (+10 run. jump), Perc +1 (darkvision 60 ft.), Stealth +11 (+12 hills), Surv +5 | Rage Rds. 0/6

"No care! Go! Have extra goblin, Zashi, to absorb damage with. And where did weird snake narrator go?"

Ruiner of Everythings - M Goblin Warpriest 1; HP 3/9; AC 20 (T:14, FF:17); CMD 13; Saves (F +3; R +3; W +3); Init +3

Just noticed I forgot to include my size in my AC. Derp.

Male Dwarf Korak

Everybody admit it if you did the same, I want to see who screwed up and laugh.

Ruiner of Everythings - M Goblin Warpriest 1; HP 3/9; AC 20 (T:14, FF:17); CMD 13; Saves (F +3; R +3; W +3); Init +3

I bring shame upon all power gamers everywhere...

Male Dwarf Korak

just remember, the only time it came up was when you were fighting creatures the same size as you.

Ruiner of Everythings - M Goblin Warpriest 1; HP 3/9; AC 20 (T:14, FF:17); CMD 13; Saves (F +3; R +3; W +3); Init +3

lol... heading to work. Will post when I get home.

RETIRED

Sorry. The thread didn't say anything was new. Stupid bugs. :/

Male Dwarf Korak

I'm starting to see why GMs hate the summoner. Check in every day if you can, even if it's only once.

Goblin Inactive

Oh it's easily the cheesiest, most broken class in the game, unless you're counting the path of war stuff.

Male Dwarf Korak

Yes well, at the time he was making Chompy, he was basically our only fighter, I don't think we even had Urk yet. So while I am getting annoyed, I also don't blame him, this WAS our front line.

Female Goblin Unchained rogue 1 (HP9/9, AC18/16/14, Init+5, Per+3, F2,R7,W0)

Oh, yeah, pounce quadruped eidolons are especially silly. I don't know how it ever seemed like a good idea balance-wise to make Pounce a 1-point evolution...

Male Dwarf Korak

I don't know how they thought it was good balance wise for them to give a number cap of attacks that's three at level 1

Male Goblin *sickened* Barbarian (supersticious) 1 | hp 15 | AC 17 T 14 FF 14 | CMD 14 | F +4 R +3 W +1 | Spd 40' | Init +3 | Acro +6 (+10 run. jump), Perc +1 (darkvision 60 ft.), Stealth +11 (+12 hills), Surv +5 | Rage Rds. 0/6

This from the pouncing sneak attack goblin? ;)

Female Goblin Unchained rogue 1 (HP9/9, AC18/16/14, Init+5, Per+3, F2,R7,W0)

Except I don't get to make all three attacks after jumping out. ;)

RETIRED

I can change stuff if the general consensus is that he's not working out. Just let me know what I can do to make this better for people. :)

Female Goblin Unchained rogue 1 (HP9/9, AC18/16/14, Init+5, Per+3, F2,R7,W0)

I'm not too bothered by it - it'd be Korak's call if he thinks things are dying too quickly. :)

Male Goblin *sickened* Barbarian (supersticious) 1 | hp 15 | AC 17 T 14 FF 14 | CMD 14 | F +4 R +3 W +1 | Spd 40' | Init +3 | Acro +6 (+10 run. jump), Perc +1 (darkvision 60 ft.), Stealth +11 (+12 hills), Surv +5 | Rage Rds. 0/6

Or he could just send in more pit fiends!

Chomp is pretty much a 1-trick-pouncing-pony. The GM could give him a math problem and it would be all over....

Male Dwarf Korak

Actually I've simply come to the decision that giving things more hit points and adding to the numbers is more effective, but that's the part of the point of running these, for me to gain experience on what works and what doesn't. Giving Lotsalegs advanced template, doesn't work. Adding a second cr 1 creature, doing pretty good so far.

Goblin Inactive

Adding hit points usually works. Besides, critter hit points are just too...average, you figure some along the way have to have above average.

Male Goblin *sickened* Barbarian (supersticious) 1 | hp 15 | AC 17 T 14 FF 14 | CMD 14 | F +4 R +3 W +1 | Spd 40' | Init +3 | Acro +6 (+10 run. jump), Perc +1 (darkvision 60 ft.), Stealth +11 (+12 hills), Surv +5 | Rage Rds. 0/6

I would recommend Google Drawing in Google Drive for interactive mapping.

Still pit fiends. *Nudge nudge* You could also just reskin things.

"But horses don't have lightning breath and blind sense!"

Female Goblin Unchained rogue 1 (HP9/9, AC18/16/14, Init+5, Per+3, F2,R7,W0)

OF COURSE HORSES HAVE LIGHTNING BREATH AND BLIND SENSE!
