Defeating a villain question.

Rules Questions and Gameplay Discussion

This is mostly in context of the scenario bizarre love triangle from S&S though it many apply to other situations. When you defeat one of the villains the location closes. Is this permanently closed and do you still have to fulfill the when closing requirements?

It IS permanently closed (provided there aren't other villains) and you do NOT have to fulfill the location card's "when closing," as defeating the villain supplies an alternate requirement.

The location only closes if no other villains are in the location.

If I may, I have a similar question : it says that if you encounter the villain, other pcs may attempt to close their locations temporarily. If they do, and the villain is defeated, the pcs win ? A temporarily closed location is then as strong as a permanent one ?

When it comes to the villain escaping, yes a temp close is just as strong as a permanent one. That's the only time, but it's the important one.
