Cavalier Daring champion challenge + precise strike?

Rules Questions

Does the daring cavalier can do these two abilities at the same time :

Ex: A level 5 cavalier active a challenge ( +5 damage )and have at least one panache point ( +5 damage also ).

Yes. Yes, they can.

The complaints have been numerous. ^_^

I'am not surprise, It seem very unbalanced.

And if you used one panache point you can double your level in damage plus the challenge!

I am looking between Daring champion of just sraight swaschbuckler, but for the fun of the game I think I will play the swashbuckler.

Weirdly, the biggest complaint isn't the damage. ^_^

It's that, between the double-dip on level-to-damage and the high Fortitude save (big issue for the forumites), it seems to obsolete the swashbuckler. In the same book, no less.

I don't know the Magus getting Spellstrike with a supped up Shocking Grasp + Level to damage seems like it might do more damage.. and render the Swashbuckler moot.

Daring Champion's panache doesn't kick in until level 4, and remember that the challenge damage is against a single target, once per day (+1 more daily use at 4, 7, 10, etc.).

If you're starting at level 1, you might be better off with a straight swashbuckler unless you can really make good use of the tactician ability. (Tactician is actually my favorite part of the cavalier.)

Actually we start level 2.

But if you pick extra challenge and chain challenge, you gain some more use of the abilitie.

And if you choose Precise strike ( temwork feat ), it another d6 of damage.

And with Fencing grace you add your dex damage also, it a lot of damage in a round you ca do!

The Daring Champion isn't too strong, the Swashbuckler is too weak. The DC is actually competitive with other primary damage dealers for the role, the Swashbuckler is about as viable as a Core Fighter.

Yep - Daring Champion is the superior full class - though not OP.

Swash is better for dipping though.

While a Daring Champion is a better Swashbuckler than the Swashbuckler - a 1 level dip in Swashbuckler and then into Samurai with TWF is a better finesse Cavalier than the Daring Champion is. *shrug*
