Prestige Points To Buy Items

Advice

How do you use prestige points to buy items? I have 16 prestige points and I want to buy a magical weapon. How much is 16 prestige points worth?

You can only get up to 750GP item with PPs. You can buy other services with PP like resurrections, restorations, atonements with higher amounts of PP.

But I typically use mine to buy 1st level wands and expendables. They also come in handy when a low charge wand comes across your Chronicle sheets. I typically can find a wand of lesser restoration with 1-7 charges that come in under 750.

Prestige Points aren't worth any specific value. There are very specific things you can spend your points on, you don't just buy whatever with them.

See page 26 of the PFS guide for a table of what you can do with your prestige points regardless of your faction. The Field Guide has certain items you can buy based on your faction.

Another thing I will be honest about...I do not save mine up for too long...I prefer having consumables...and if my PFS character should die (hasn't yet) then so be it...reroll and start over...Live life on the edge!

The closest you can get to a magic weapon with prestige is a Masterwork Darkwood Composite Longbow with a +3 Strength rating (comes in at 730 gold)

Other things to buy with prestige are level 1 wands (mage armor, cure light woulds, infernal healing, magic missile) or level 3 potions (Fly, Cure Serious Wounds, Greater Invisibility).

There are also scrolls you can buy as well as Masterwork Agile Breastplate (Costs 550, not sure if you can get armor spikes on it at the same time).

There are also partially charged wands you can pick up (I know of partial charge improved caster level magic missile wands on at least one chronicle)

Thanks for all the help.
Dang, I was hoping to use them along with my gold to get a +1 Cruel Greatsword. Mix it with the Cornugon Smash Feat and with every hit and successful free action intimidate you can debuff their attack, saves, skills, and abilities by 4 and damage by 2.

I smash your face in, debuff (-4 to all saves), wizard you may hit him now.
